Also a son of Kimm 7012 and a Slack dam, this ram is very complete. He was Champ Slick Shorn Ram at the 2008 NAILE and return in 2009 to be first place yearling. He has been used heavily by his breeder/owner, MacCauley Suffolks for the past two years. I am leasing him for the 2011 breeding season. Length, muscle, bone and balance are the traits he brings to the table. He is very complete and impressive. He will be used in all three flocks this breeding season.

We are very fortunate to have this proven stud in our program. VR Tech allowed me to lease this genetically predictable sire back in the '07' breeding season. The university purchased him from Andy and Katherine Meadows, out of the 2005 VR Tech ram test sale. Dr. Greiner said I would like his daughters, well that was an understatement, they are big, powerful girls with great maternal traits. Plus we kept a son from that '08' crop, Kimm 8015. When given the chance to own 5211, it was a no brainer. Check out his ext. pedigree and find that it is filled with Kimm bloodlines which all go back to the old Slack lines, including the great Slack 5259 ET sire. Platinum's proven track record not only includes great females but he brings excellent epds for growth into the mix. His REA as a lamb was 3.36 sq. in., adj. to 135 lbs. If you are looking for big, complete Suffolks, this sire can ring the bell. His progeny was very well receives in the 2011 production sale. He will be used in the Tipton and Dysart flocks this fall.

A “Platinum” (Med 5211) son saved back from the 2008 lamb crop, his dam represents one of my strong older maternal lines, a complete outcross from the MC 38 and Kimm 22 lines and she has always produced keeper females for me. The Kimm 8015 daughters retained have been all one could ask for as young brood ewes. 8015 was one of the longest bodied, productive sons (adj. 60 day wt was 95 lbs and adj. REA at 3.25 sq. in.) sired by 5211. Plus 8015 had an exceptionally good twin sister (adj. 60 day was 86 lbs and adj. REA at 3.76 sq. in.) who was also retained in the flock. In his first three lamb crops, 8015 has helped address fiber concerns (he is very pink skinned with no indication of color) and sires consistent, productive, sound lambs. His epd’s for growth, coming from NSIP, are some of the highest for my flock. A dozen replacements have been kept from this stud with great sucess. He will be used in the Tipton flock this breeding season.

One of the heaviest muscled rams I have ever used, scanning an adj. REA of 4.8. This Feb. lamb was the Champion Suffolk Wether Sire at the 2011 Midwest Stud Ram Sale and sired by the Supreme Champ. Wether Sire from the 2009 Midwest Sale. He is sporting extra bone, length and is full bodied. He is owned in partnership with Ron Alves, CA. He will be used early at all three locations, especially on ewe lambs and then will head West in mid September.

This is a Kimm 7012 son by a Slack female who was Gr. Champion Wether Dam at the ‘05’ Midwest Stud Ram Sale, Sedalia, MO. What is most impressive about 2087 is his style, muscle and correctness in a large package. He has a super rack, long hindsaddle and consistent top shape design. He was the Res. Champion Suffolk Ram at the 2009 show and sale in Eaton, OH. He created a lot of interest at that time and ended up being the high selling Suffolk ram. His lambs are mirror images of him and scored the highest adj. REA’s averages for the 2010 & 2011 crops plus having some of the top 60 day wts. He consistently sires correct, stylish lambs with added frame. He will be used in the Tipton flock for this breeding season.

A complete outcross, totally Slack bred, raised by Baglien Suffolks, OR. I have leased this ram for the 2011 breeding season. Length, top muscle and bone along with a very pink skin are his attributes appreciated by the Baglien's during the first two years of breeding with this ram. This guy can go both ways, production and club lamb. He will be used this fall at Dysart on ewe lambs.

D. Howard 6070-06 RR/NN

I try very hard to find a registered Suffolk backed by productive-consistent genetics. One that is a complete outcrosses to my program and that will keep muscle and structural design in check. This ram, I feel, is all of that and more. Bred and used by Darrell Howard, OK, long time Suffolk breeder, where he sired two successful lamb crops. 6070 was not the largest ram that I turned out but he sired a very straight lined, square topped, excellent muscled set of lambs that were in a very balanced package. His lambs found friends from both the club lamb and medium frame Suffolk flocks interested in showing females and adding muscle to their programs. His daughters have proved to be excellent females in their first year of lambing. If you check out his extended pedigree, you will find Hickman W-44 several times on the dam’s side, this was a genetic line which has been known for combining muscle and production together with a ‘great look’. He will be used in the Iowa City flock this fall.

Another Kimm 7012 son who sold in the 2010 sale to Vern Hart, MO. I retained breeding rights on this guy for the early side of 2011 and 2012 breeding seasons. The Hart's were very pleased with his progeny and his dam has produced several studs which I have used in the past few years such as Kimm 6022 and Kimm 9033, enough said, this ram's dam is a stud female. He will be used in the Dysart flock this fall.

I purchased this proven sire from the Wilfords, OH after he produced three successful crops for them. I viewed two different lamb crops sired by 7152 at Sam and Pat’s farm and they were exceptionally uniform females with style, muscle, all tied together into a very sound package. He brings in a totally new bloodline from the Slack genetic pool and offers an outcross from many of the lines presently represented in my program. He is easy on the eye and possesses an impressive loin, hip and leg. He will be used in the Iowa City flock this fall.

This is a purebred Hampshire which I own in partnership with Ron Alves, CA. He is very correct, great rack shape, level, long and has the "LOOK". He is a son of Miller Master out of a Prime Time daughter. He was used by Ron last year, where he sired a very consistent set of stylish lambs. His crossbreds should be most exciting for those wanting to show Black Faced Commercial Ewe Lambs or for commercial breeder who wants to hi-bred vigor to their rams. He will be used in all three flocks this fall.
